PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, in a conventional radar device, band interpolation/expansion is performed on observation signals of a plurality of radars in order to widen a bandwidth but it is necessary to accurately implement alignment and phase matching while estimating and compensating for displacement and phase shift among the observation signals of the radars and under the environment where a signal-to-noise ratio is low, however, a band interpolation/expansion performance may be considerably reduced.
SOLUTION: A radar device comprises: a plurality of radars disposed closely to one another for observing a target in different frequency bands; covariance matrix estimating means for estimating a covariance matrix of a signal space; covariance matrix combining means for combining the estimated covariance matrices for signals of the radars; and super-resolution range compressing means for estimating a super-resolution range profile in accordance with a super-resolution algorithm while using the combined synthetic covariance matrix.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
