<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting whether or not a sheet-like cell culture is properly set in a device such as a device for transferring the sheet-like culture; a method for properly setting the culture by modifying improper setting; and a system for carrying out the methods. <P>SOLUTION: The circularity of the contour of the sheet-like cell culture is measured while the sheet-like cell culture is set in the device for transfer, etc., and properness is determined based on whether or not the circularity is a prescribed degree of circularity.
