<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for adjusting an output of a power converter. <P>SOLUTION: The power converter includes an energy transmission element connected between an input and an output of the power converter. The switch contained in the power converter is connected to an input of the energy transmission element. The power converter also includes a controller circuit connected to the switch. The controller circuit receives a feedback signal which represents the output of the power converter, and is connected so as to receive the signal representing an input voltage of the power converter. The controller circuit controls switching of the switch to respond to the feedback signal, and provides an adjusted output parameter to the output of the power converter. The controller circuit, if the input voltage of the power converter exceeds a threshold value level, latches the power converter to be off-state in response to the detection that the adjustment of the output parameter of the converter has been lost. Further, the controller circuit does not react to the signal representing the input voltage of the power converter during the period when the output parameter of the power converter is being adjusted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
