<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alignment method capable of readily and accurately aligning the through-holes of a honeycomb structure and those of a sealing mask, and to provide a method for production of a honeycomb filter. <P>SOLUTION: The method for aligning a honeycomb structure 70 and a sealing mask 170 includes the steps of: fixing at a predetermined position, an alignment mask 270 with an opening 270a; arranging at a position facing the alignment mask 270, the honeycomb structure 70 having a plurality of through-holes 70a so that the contour 70p of the external wall of an end surface 70e of the honeycomb structure 70 is visible at a predetermined position inside the opening 270a; removing the alignment mask 270 from the predetermined position after the above arrangement; and arranging the sealing mask 170 at a predetermined position after the removal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
