OBSERVATION DEVICE, OBSERVATION METHOD, AND METHOD OF PRODUCING CULTURE MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an observation method for accurately identifying an area of a drop of culture medium in a culturing container.

SOLUTION: The observation method includes: irradiating the culturing container internally including the drop of the culture medium which is used for culturing a culture material from a plurality of lighting directions (step S1); capturing images of the lighted culturing container at each of the plurality of lighting directions (step S2); generating a composite image of the culturing container by overlapping the captured images of the culturing container at the plurality of lighting directions (step S5); and identifying the area of the drop of culturing medium in the culturing container from the generated composite images (step S6).
