METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING FOAM MOLDING AND THE FOAM MOLDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a foam material from spilling out of a feed part.

SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a foam molding includes: a feed step of feeding a foam material M to a feed part 27 demarcating a feed space 51 of a recess 23 formed on a mold surface 24 of a lower mold 20 while an apparatus 10 for manufacturing the foam molding is subjected to mold opening; a half-closing step of performing half-closing by inserting a protrusion 40 protruding on a mold surface 33 of an upper mold 30 into the recess 23 while rotating the upper mold 30 so that the mold surface 33 thereof approaches a mold surface 24 of the lower mold 20 from above; and a mold clamping step of causing the upper mold 30 and the lower mold 20 to relatively approach each other along the vertical direction and closing the entire recess 23 while a gap is provided between an outer surface of the protrusion 40 and an inner surface of the recess 23 to form a cavity and perform the mold clamping. The feed part 27 is closed from above prior to the mold clamping step before the foam material M in the feed part 27 foams and reaches an upper end opening surface 29 of the feed part 27.
