LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY PANEL

This liquid crystal display panel (100) is capable of displaying in normally black mode and has: a liquid crystal cell (12) comprising a liquid crystal layer and a pair of substrates; a first polarizing plate (14) located at the rear surface side of the liquid crystal cell (12); a second polarizing plate (16) located on the viewer's side of the liquid crystal cell; and an anti-reflection layer (18) with a moth-eye structure, located on the viewer's side of the second polarizing plate. The transmission axis of the first polarizing plate (14) is arranged parallel to the vertical direction of the display surface, and the transmission axis of the second polarizing plate (16) is arranged parallel to the horizontal direction of the display surface. The present invention inhibits black level degradation at oblique viewing angles.
