<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air filter device, an electronic apparatus and a projection video display device, capable of suppressing dust from passing through an intake port even when an air filter is removed from the intake port. <P>SOLUTION: An air filter device 3 includes an air filter 31 detachably provided on an intake port 11 and a stopper member 40 capable of stopping the air filter 31 so that the air filter 31 is not detached from the intake port 11. The stopper member 40 is configured to be movable to a position to stop the air filter 31 and a position to allow the air filter 31 to be detached from the intake port 11. The air filter device 3 also includes an open/close member 50 for opening and closing the intake port 11. When the stopper member 40 moves to the position to stop the air filter 31, the open/close member 50 opens the intake port 11.
