<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader capable of reducing the influence of a disturbance noise N applied to an image signal S. <P>SOLUTION: An image reader (10) comprises: a light source (119) which irradiates a document; a line image sensor (606) for converting light reflected from the document, to an analog output signal; an AD converter (608) which converts the analog output signal output from the line image sensor, to a digital output signal; a controller (211) for controlling the line image sensor and the AD converter; and variable gain amplifiers (601 and 605) which are provided within the line image sensor and adjust the signal range of the analog output signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
