<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic device and a function starting method for the portable electronic device capable of plurally using a character string shown on a display part for a plurality of functions or one function. <P>SOLUTION: A portable telephone device 1 comprises: an operation part 11 for receiving an input operation of the character string and a starting operation of the function; an LCD display part 21 for showing the character string in response to the input operation of the character string into the operation part 11; and a control part 60 for respectively inputting the character string into character input areas of a plurality of screens based on the functions if the operation part 11 receives the starting operation of the function using the character string when the character string is shown on the LCD display part 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
