<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for solving problems that, in some cases, binocular parallax of a 3D image exceeds an acceptance limit of an observer due to the observer's observation position, which results in an unnatural 3D image and gets the observer tired easily. <P>SOLUTION: The 3D image output device compares a fusion limit calculated from the size of a 3D display part with an observation distance measured by an observation distance sensor and if the observation distance is within the fusion limit, an observer observes as it is. If the observation distance is out of the fusion limit, means for controlling parallax information of the left-eye image and the right-eye image or for controlling a scaling filter for performing the image signal processing is provided so that the observer can observe within the fusion limit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
