<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to operate an information processing device without a sense of discomfort regardless of a distance between the information processing device and the user. <P>SOLUTION: A skin area detection unit 61 detects a skin area indicating skin of a user from an image. A feature point extraction unit 62 extracts a feature point in the skin area. A distance calculation unit 63 calculates a distance to the user based on the skin area. A coordinate conversion unit 46 determines a conversion coefficient for converting the feature point into a coordinate point in a predetermined coordinate space according to the distance and converts the feature point into the coordinate point in the predetermined coordinate space based on the determined conversion coefficient.
