<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of the damage of a tape at the time of an REV mode by providing a tape guide having a switching means for switching rotation and fixing according to the traveling direction of the tape in a tape traveling system. CONSTITUTION:The tape 1 at the time of a PLAY/CUE mode travels in an arrow A direction and the switching tape guide 9 is prevented from rotating by a one-way clutch and is thereby acted as a stationary tape guide. As a result, the stable tape traveling is maintained without affecting the tape ascending force generated in the other guide system. On the other hand, the tape 1 travels in an arrow B direction at the time of the REV mode and the guide 9 is rotated by the one-way clutch, by which the guide is acted as the rotating tape guide. As a result, the tape descending force generated in the other guide system is negated by the tape ascending force expressed by the arrow C generated by the guide 9. The buckling of the tape having the probability to be generated when the tape is pressed to the lower flange of an impedance roller 8 and the damage of the tape is prevented.</p> |
