<p>PURPOSE:To hold a brake pad so as not to be inclined and simplify inserting of a disc brake by slidably inserting the upper end of the brake pad to the lateral shaft of calipers, and fitting the engaging edge of the brake pad into the circumferential groove of the front part of a piston. CONSTITUTION:Calipers 2 are ridingly arranged on a disc plate 1, linings 4 are put on the inside of brake pads 3, and the right and left linings 4 are confronted on both sides of the disc plate 1. Holes 5 provided on the upper end of the right and left brake pads 3 are slidably fitted to the lateral shaft 6 of the calipers 2 to be held. The brake pads 3 are pressed against the disc plate 1 with pistons 7 arranged on the outside of the right and left brake pads 3 to brake. Engaging edges 8 bent on the inside are provided on both sides of the brake pads 3, and fitted into circumferential grooves provided on the front part of the pistons 7 to hold the lower parts of the brake pads 3 with the pistons 7.</p> |
