A measuring system (1) and method for measuring the roughness of a road surface (2), the measuring system (1) having: a vehicle (3) which moves along a measuring path on the road surface (2); a first measuring device (11) mounted in a fixed vertical position on the vehicle (3) and aimed vertically towards the road surface (2) to measure the distance (D) with respect to the road surface (2); a second measuring device (13) for measuring travel of the vehicle (3) along the measuring path; and a control unit (8), which controls the first measuring device (11) as a function of the travel of the vehicle (3) along the measuring path, to measure the distance (D) with respect to the road surface (2) at predetermined, strictly constant measuring intervals. |
