<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston for a disc brake that can prevent the adhesion of a boot groove formed at the piston and a lip at a boot, and can effectively improve maintenance performance, boot breakage prevention performance and assembling performance. <P>SOLUTION: The piston 10 inserted into a cylindrical cylinder formed at a caliper body constituting the disc brake has the booth groove 12 which is formed at the external periphery of the piston 10, and engaged with the lip at the boot which has a bellows-shaped body and the annular lip, and a small groove 14 which is formed at the bottom of the boot groove 12, and filled with a lubricant lubricating between the engaged lip and the boot groove 12. In the piston 10 with such a constitution, preferably, the small groove 14 formed at the boot groove 12 may be formed over the whole periphery along the formation region of the booth groove 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
