<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a length-of-stay estimation device and a length-of-stay estimation method capable of estimating the length of stay of a tourist or the like easily with high accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: From location information in an area set by an area setting part 122, the location information of mobile communication terminals 2 except mobile communication terminals 2 belonging to the area as the daily operation area is acquired. A travel speed calculation part 124 calculates the travel speed of each of the target terminals 2 within the area. A time measurement part 125 measures the time when the travel speed is equal to or less than a threshold value (a prescribed speed) T1. When the measured time is equal to or more than a threshold value (a prescribed time) T2, a length-of-stay estimation part 126 estimates the length of stay, supposing that the user of that mobile communication terminal 2 is staying in the set area.
