<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter having a black matrix in which decrease in numerical aperture is small, adhesion force is strong and sealing strength is high, a manufacturing method thereof, a color filter substrate, and a liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter includes a transparent substrate, the black matrix provided on the transparent substrate, and colored pixels provided to aperture sections of the black matrix. The black matrix includes frame like outer peripheral light shielding metal sections that designate display areas, striped light shielding metal sections provided continuing to the outer peripheral light shielding metal sections, and striped light shielding resin sections provided perpendicular to the striped light shielding metal sections. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
