<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method each for inhibiting the floral bud differentiation of short-day plants. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for inhibiting floral bud differentiation of short-day plants includes LED generating red light the peak of wavelength of which is 660 nm ±40 nm, and LED generating far-infrared light the peak of wavelength of which is 735 nm ±40 nm. With the apparatus, the LED generating the red light and the LED generating the far-infrared light are simultaneously operated so as to conduct long-day treatment of simultaneously irradiating the red light and the far-infrared light to the short-day plants after sunset. This invention provides the method for inhibiting floral bud formation of short-day plants comprises simultaneously irradiating the red light the peak of wavelength of which is 660 nm ±40 nm and the far-infrared light the peak of wavelength of which is 735 nm ±40 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
