The supercharger (26) has a rotor (84) that is arranged at specific area of the portion of housing, around a rotational axis (46). The rotor is rotatably received by a brake device (82) that is arranged for guarding the rotor, without causing the damage. The excessive border rotation speed of the rotor is prevented by the brake device. The deceleration of the rotor is controlled by actuation of brake device in electromagnetic, mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic modes. An independent claim is included for operating method of exhaust gas supercharger for internal combustion engine.
