<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that is advantageous in increasing a numerical aperture and is superior in display performance. <P>SOLUTION: The display device includes: a plurality of organic light emitting elements 10 which are each formed by laminating a first electrode layer 13, an organic layer 14 including a light emitting layer, and a second electrode layer 16 in this order on a base 11, and arranged in an X-axis direction and a Y-axis direction; and an isolation insulating layer 24 which is disposed in a gap region VZ sandwiched between organic light emitting elements 10 adjoining each other in the X-axis direction, and includes a recessed part 24G forming two or more steps.
