<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress re-interruption of power supply caused by charging operation to a battery. <P>SOLUTION: A charging control device for controlling charging operations of a charging device which is connected to a power source socket in a house through a charging plug and charges a high-voltage battery for vehicle driving controls the charging of the high-voltage battery with the charging device by transmitting an inhibition instruction signal for commanding charge inhibition and a cancellation instruction signal for commanding cancellation of the charge inhibition to the charging device through power supply line communication. Specifically, charging operation is inhibited by transmitting the inhibition instruction signal when interruption of power supply occurs. When the interruption of power supply ends, the device waits until the current usage in the house satisfies a predetermined condition that does not cause re-interruption of power supply due to resumption of charging, based on current usage in the house, an amount of current to be used for the charging, and an upper limit on the amount of current that avoids tripping of a breaker. When the predetermined condition is satisfied (No at S330), the cancellation instruction signal is transmitted to cancel the charge operation inhibition state, and the charging device is made to resume charging of the high-voltage battery (S360). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
