<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device suppressing, when displaying a moving image, a sense of interference and luminance lowering without improving a transfer rate of a frame memory. <P>SOLUTION: This image display device includes: an image processing circuit generating picture signals including a main image frame and a sub image frame having a luminance lower than that of the main image based on input image data. The image processing circuit includes: a conversion circuit converting the respective frame synchronization signals such that a horizontal scan period in the main image frame becomes longer than the horizontal scan period in the sub image frame; and a memory control circuit changing over between writing and reading with respect to the two frame memories within a period when both the synchronization signals before the conversion and the synchronization signals after the conversion become vertical blanking interval. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
