<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance toner discharge and conveyance capacity in a cleaning device at toner consumption. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device includes a photoreceptor 205, a charging device 202, an exposure device 201, a developing device 203, a primary transfer device 204, and a cleaning device 206. The image forming device further includes an image quality adjusting means that estimates or detects a state of developer in the developing device 203 and makes execution of toner consumption so as to stabilize the charging amount of the developer, by forming a prescribed amount of toner on the photoreceptor 205 based on the estimated or detected information if necessary. When a Vp denotes a linear speed of an image carrier, and a Vc denotes a linear speed of a cleaning screw 209 that discharges and conveys toner in a cleaning device, during the execution of toner consumption, the image quality adjusting means makes Vc/Vp larger than the Vc/Vp at normal operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
