<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of separating even a recording material with low stiffness such as a thin recording material from a conveyance belt in a direction to decrease peeling discharge without causing image defects due to elimination of electric charge held by a toner. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises detection means for detecting the amount of charge held by a toner, and control means for controlling the amount of charge to be supplied by adsorption means positioned upstream of a transfer nip part in the direction of a conveyance belt in a direction to decrease a peeling discharge according to the amount of charge detected by the detection means when separating a recording material from the conveyance belt. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
