<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor laser driving device that can obtain constant optical output taking droop characteristics of a semiconductor laser into consideration, and to provide an image forming apparatus with the semiconductor laser driving device. <P>SOLUTION: The semiconductor laser driving device includes drive current generation circuits 11, 14 that generates a drive current corresponding to the size of a value indicated by a digital data signal and outputs the drive current to the semiconductor laser LD and a control circuit 12 that corrects a magnitude of the drive current supplied to the semiconductor laser LD. The control circuit 12 corrects the magnitude of the drive current by increasing or decreasing a value indicated by the digital data signal so that the optical output while the semiconductor laser LD is lit reaches a desired one based on a specified pattern. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
