The method involves condensing and/or de-sublimating natural gas containing impurities in a heat exchanger (1) which is supplied with heat exchange mediums, to clean the natural gas. The cleaned gas is partially pre-cooled in heat exchanger (2) and pre-cooled gas is cooled to preset temperature in heat exchanger (3) supplied with a coolant. The heat exchange mediums of the heat exchanger (1) are pre-cooled using the cooled gas. An independent claim is included for device for cleaning natural gas.
