The selective control circuit has a signal supply unit (24) that provides drive signals (26) for fuel gas injection valve (40) of bivalent combustion engine in accordance with fuel injection signals (12) of engine control equipment (10). A pulsating identifier module (21) identifies the duration of the fuel injection signal. The supply unit provides drive signals for fuel gas injection valves if pulse duration of fuel injection signal is below predetermined minimal duration. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) motor system; and (2) method for operating motor system.
