The profile (2) has a sealing section arranged at a free end for sealing between two areas. A fastening element is formed as a locking element (3) i.e. locking hook, including a locking dome and a locking head (31) that is partially projected over the dome. The sealing section has sealing strips connected by a strip-shaped section arranged between the locking element and the sealing section. The profile is made of elastically deformable plastic e.g. plasticized PVC and thermoplastic polyurethane. The locking element comprises an attachment section present in an area turned away from the head. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a road sweeper including a sealing profile (2) a method for attaching a sealing profile to a road sweeper.
