The method involves producing charge images of images to be printed on a charge image carrier (2). The charge images are developed to an image film on the carrier by liquid developer. The film is transferred from the carrier to a transfer location (12) by a transfer station (5) and conveyed to a reprint location (13) on a printing substrate (6). Cross-linked additive liquid i.e. methyl methacrylate with radical initiator azobisisobutyronitrile, is applied on the film after the transfer location. Toner images are fixed in the film by cross-linking of the liquid on the substrate.
