摘要 <p>Surface finishing of hard layer (1) with defined pore distribution, which is applied on sliding surface by thermal spraying, preferably arc spraying, comprises processing the layer by machining, using a cutting tool with at least one cutting edge (6). The cutting parameters comprise at least one cutting material, a cutting edge micro- and macro-geometry. The cutting parameters are chosen such that a material separated by cutting, is detached from the surface and is diverted away. The pores are exposed without forming a cover ridge (4) and a predetermined roughness of the surface is achieved. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a cutting tool for surface finishing of the hard layer with a defined pore distribution, which is applied on the cylindrical sliding surface by thermal spraying, comprising at least one cutting edge, where the cutting parameters are selected for detaching and guiding a chip from the surface and exposing the pores without forming the cover ridge, and for achieving a predetermined surface roughness; and (2) a structured surface (1') of the hard layer with defined pore distribution, which is applied on a cylindrical sliding surface by thermal spraying, exhibiting a predetermined roughness, where the distributed pores defining in the hard layer is present in exposed form without cover ridges.</p>
