The pad (1) has a bottom layer formed on a horseback, and an upper layer (2) on which a saddle is placed. The bottom layer and the upper layer are connected with each other. The pad is anatomically adapted to the horseback. The bottom layer and the upper layer form a cover (9) in which a replaceable insert e.g. gel pad, is arranged. A reclosure (4) e.g. Velcro(RTM: Hook and loop fastener) closure and snap closure, is arranged in the upper layer. The reclosure is arranged such that the pad runs along the horseback in a hook condition of the pad.
