<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow application of mask processing to a manually input content on an as required basis to ensure both display of necessary information and the security. <P>SOLUTION: In a mask processing menu, classification intended for mask processing is set; mask object items (display items) in the classifications are set; and a mask execution rule for data (display content) included in the mask object items is set. In the mask execution rule, either "designation for all contents" that means all the display contents are regarded as mask object contents or "designation only for manually input content" that means only manually input display content is regarded as the mask object content is set. In the case of "designation for all content", mask processing is applied to all the display contents included in the mask object items, for information for a screen display. Meanwhile, in the case of "designation only for manually input content", the mask processing is applied to the display content that is included in the mask object items and has been input manually.
