<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve recognition of a data code attached to a commodity, and a certificate such as a bill and a gift certificate without paying much cost. <P>SOLUTION: A checkout system which comprises: a first imaging part that images a commodity including a data code attached to the commodity; and a second imaging part that images the face of a certificate received from a customer. The checkout system recognizes the data code from the image data of the commodity imaged by the first imaging part, and recognizes the kind of the face image data of a certificate imaged by the second imaging part. In addition, the checkout system performs commodity registration processing based on the data code, and when the kind of certificate data inputted through an input part coincides with that of a certificate recognized, the device performs processing for closing acceptance of the certificate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
