The low-temp. heating boiler has a gas- or oil-burner(6), an uncooled smoke-box(13), and a cylindrical water jacket(1), along whose inside the combustion gases are directed. The jacket has lengthwise ribs(8) on the inside, and a tubular insert(9) is mounted inside it, bearing against them. Both jacket and insert are one-piece iron castings and widen in a cone in one direction. The burner is secured in a flame tube(7) integral with the jacket and cooled by water.
