<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic control system and a vehicle control system capable of at least either suppressing an occurrence of congestion or mitigating the congestion. <P>SOLUTION: A traffic control system provides the driver of a vehicle 101 traveling according with a prescribed state of traveling among vehicles traveling on a road 50 with information concerning the suppression of congestion on the road. The prescribed state of traveling is, for example, the state of traveling causing congestion on a road.
