The machine has an individual piston or piston groups coupled by a lifting element and brought in an inactive state. The individual piston or the piston groups is decoupled based on a load torque. The individual piston or the piston groups is coupled or decoupled via a hydraulic-mechanical clutch. A hydraulic pump is driven by a combustion engine via mechanical power. A hydraulic motor converts hydraulic power into mechanical power via movement of the piston. The hydraulic pump is designed as a radial piston pump and an in-line pump.
