<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deviation detection device and method capable of highly accurately and rapidly detecting a frequency deviation between the clocks of a transmission frame and the clocks of a client signal. <P>SOLUTION: A deviation detection device detects a frequency deviation between the clocks of a client signal and the clocks of a transmission frame. The deviation detection device includes: first counters for counting the clocks of the client signal; phase shifters for imparting multiple phase differences to the clocks of the transmission frame; second counters for counting, in parallel, the respective clocks of the transmission frame, to which the multiple phase differences are imparted; an addition processing part for adding the count values of the respective clocks, which are output from the second counters; and an average processing part for equalizing the added total count values by the number of the respective clocks of the transmission frame, to which the multiple phase differences are imparted, and outputting the calculated average value as the frequency deviation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
