<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of the leakage of a personal identification number in an input method using a cursor key, because numerals are known from a series of cursor key operations. <P>SOLUTION: Based on a random number, it is determined which inputtable direction each of a plurality of numerals, including numerals corresponding to the personal identification number, is to be disposed. Each numeral is grouped on a direction-by-direction basis. A set of numerals subordinate to each group corresponding to each direction is displayed by being disposed in each direction.
