<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device comprising an amplifier that can limit a maximum output voltage range. <P>SOLUTION: A semiconductor device 1 comprises an amplifier 20 and a power supply unit 10. The amplifier 20 having first and second power supply input nodes N3 and N4 amplifies an input signal to a signal with an amplitude corresponding to a driving voltage applied between the first and second power supply input nodes N3 and N4 and outputs the signal to an external circuit. The power supply unit 10 receives a control signal CTL that indicates a unusual mode or a usual mode in which the input signal is linearly amplified by the amplifier 20, and supplies a power supply voltage according to the control signal CTL to at least one of the first and second power supply input nodes N3 and N4. In this case, the power supply unit 10 changes an amount of the power supply voltage so as to supply a smaller driving voltage when receiving the control signal indicating the usual mode than the one when receiving the control signal indicating the unusual mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
