<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal, a charger, and a portable terminal device, which can select an appropriate charging position according to a user's usage situation. <P>SOLUTION: A portable terminal 100 is detachably placed on a charger 200 and is supported by the charger 200. The portable terminal 100 includes a display panel 110, a housing 120 housing the display panel 110 with the display panel 110 exposed on the front surface side, and externally-exposed charge terminals 130 and 140, which are respectively placed on the longitudinal and short side surfaces of the housing 120.
