<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the same film-like grain effects with only a small data amount, while suppressing generation of periodical patterns, even for a plurality of images having different sizes. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus applying film a grain effect on an image of input image data, includes: generation means for generating, using pixel values randomly read from grain data including a plurality of pixel values, a basic grain image having a predetermined size larger than the grain data; resize means for resizing the basic grain image generated by the generation means to have the same size as the input image data does; and combination means for combining the basic grain image resized by the resize means with the input image data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
