<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus with a simple configuration that causes little deterioration in image quality and has excellent focus detection performance. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus with a removable or fixed imaging optical system includes: an imaging device in which pixels are arranged two-dimensionally; an incident light restriction part having a function to restrict an incident direction or an amount of light of an incident light flux for at least part of the pixels; a moving part that changes the relative positions of the incident light restriction part and the imaging device so that a position where at least part of the pixels receives the light flux that has transmitted through the specific area of the pupil of the imaging optical system and a position where at least part of the pixels receives the light flux that has transmitted through the area at least partly different from the specific area of the pupil of the imaging optical system are replaced; a pixel signal acquisition part that acquires signals from the pixels at each relative position; a calculation part that calculates the amount of defocus based on signals from the pixels at each relative position; and an image construction part that constructs image data based on the signals from the pixels. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
