<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a magnetic recording medium which efficiently removes extraneous matters etc. attached on a master information carrier etc. and significantly increases the total number of transferring with one master information carrier. <P>SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a magnetic recording medium W includes the steps of: magnetically transferring, after a master information carrier M having a transfer pattern corresponding to an information signal is laminated on a magnetic recording medium W having at least a magnetic layer formed on a non-magnetic substrate, the information signal from the master information carrier M to the magnetic recording medium W while applying an external magnetic field to the magnetic recording medium W from a side of the master information carrier M. After the master information carrier M which is used for repeating a magnetic transfer is attached on a dummy substrate D which has an outer shape corresponding to the magnetic recording medium and has an adhesive surface, the dummy substrate D is detached to remove extraneous matters attached on the master information carrier M. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
