A syringe, for injecting liq. medium into an opaque eye-lens, has a liq. pressure changing device (10), pref. a rotating apertured disc (11), which is located between the syringe cylinder (2) and the canula (20) and which, on pressure application to the liq. medium in the cylinder (2), causes pulsed feed of the liq. medium into the canula (20). USE/ADVANTAGE - The syringe is used esp. for distilled water injection into cataract lenses to loosen or soften the lens core to facilitate complete removal during a subsequent cataract operation. The pulsed liq. delivery facilitates insertion of the canula into the hard lens core and facilitates liq. medium distribution.
