Narcotic appts. with tempering unit - has heat exchanger arranged outside housing but in thermal contact with vaporiser via thermostat

The tempering unit (2) is at least partically, installed inside (5) the narcotic appts. (1), while the heat exchanger (3) is arranged outside it. The heat exchanger can be brought into contact with the narcotics vaporiser (4). The heat exchanger can be in the form of an end-piece shaped to grip around at least part of the vaporiser. An elastic cushion can be provided on the inner side of the end-piece facing the vaporiser for extablishing thermal contact. The cushion can be in the form of a hose for fluid flow through it. The tempering unit comprises a cooler (6) for the fluid, a counter heater (9) and a temp. sensor (8). A regulator (11) responds to deviation from a stipulated temp. The fluid is driven by a pump (7). USE/ADVANTAGE - Anaesthetic equipment in operating theatre. All external parts easily wiped and cleaned, e.g. by disinfectant.
