PURPOSE: A digital multimedia broadcasting device with an audio output monitoring function and an operation method thereof are provided to monitor audio output and correct a malfunction of an amplifier. CONSTITUTION: A DMB controller(160) controls a DMB receiver, a broadcasting signal processing unit, and an amplifier. The DMB controller calculates the difference between a time for receiving a first audio data signal received from the broadcasting signal processing unit and a time for receiving second audio data. The DMB controller determines whether an audio output operation is normal based on the sizes of the amplitudes of the first and second audio data signals and the calculated result. If an audio output operation is abnormal, the DMB controller checks an audio output operation. |
