An imaging apparatus includes an imaging unit converting incident light into an image signal; an evaluation value detecting unit dividing the image signal into plural areas and detecting an evaluation value of a pixel value of each of the areas; an imaging information acquiring unit acquiring imaging position information and an imaging date/time of the image signal; a sky-area pixel value estimating unit estimating pixel value information of a sky area of a daytime based on the imaging position information and the imaging date/time; and a sky-area determination unit comparing the evaluation value of each of the plural areas with the pixel value information to determine whether the area corresponds to the sky area. |
