PURPOSE: An apparatus for detecting the power phase of a PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) converter is provided to display abnormal wiring connection discriminated by discriminating the non-connection or wrong connection of a power signal line. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for detecting the power phase of a PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) converter includes a phase detector(10) and a controller(40). The controller is connected to an output terminal of the phase detector. The controller determines the non-connection of power signal lines(1,2,3) of three phase input power based on a voltage value which is outputted in the phase detector. The controller calculates a phase angle of the three phase input power which is applied to the power signal line. The controller determines the wrong connection of the power signal line by comparing calculated phase angle data with saved reference phase angle data.
