Provided is an aqueous polyurethane resin dispersion having a good film-forming property, and excellent mechanical properties and water resistance. The present invention is an aqueous polyurethane resin dispersion comprising water and a polyurethane resin (U) and satisfying all of the following conditions (1) to (6): (1) a urethane group content in the polyurethane resin (U) is 0.5 to 5.0 mmol/g, based on weight of the polyurethane resin (U); (2) a terminal amino group content in the polyurethane resin (U) is not more than 0.35 mmol/g, based on the weight of the polyurethane resin (U); (3) a number average molecular weight (Mn) of the polyurethane resin (U) is 10,000 to 1, 000,000; (4) a ratio (Mw/Mn) of a weight average molecular weight (Mw) to the number average molecular weight (Mn) of the polyurethane resin (U) is 1.5 to 3.5; (5) a melting temperature of the polyurethane resin (U) is 70 to 280°C; and (6) a volume average particle diameter (Dv) of the polyurethane resin (U) is 0.01 to 1 µm.
